Hindi movie Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the leads, has broken all old records and set its own several benchmarks at the Indian and overseas Box Office. The latest addition to the list of its records is that the romantic action thriller has crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the collection centres across the globe. With

The latest addition to the list of its records is that the romantic action thriller has crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the collection centres across the globe. With
this, it has become the fastest Rs 200 crore grosser in the history of Hindi Cinema.
Ek Tha Tiger , which released on 3300 screens on August 15, had collected Rs 154.21 crore nett at the Indian Box Office in nine-day-extended opening week. The movie continued to do well in the second weekend thereby overtaking new release Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. The film grossed Rs 4.53 crore on Friday and approximately Rs 5 crore on Saturday taking its 11 day total to Rs 163.74.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer romantic action movie has also got very good response at the overseas Box Office. In 11 days, Ek Tha Tiger has raked in a total of Rs 39.03 crores nett at the collection centres in foreign countries like USA, UAE, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. It is a record breaking collection for a Hindi film in the international market.
However, Ek Tha Tiger has collected a total of Rs 202.77 crores at the worldwide Box Office in 11 days. The makers of this Kabir Khan movie are very happy with its performance at the ticket windows and they could not stop thanking Salmania, which has kept the bells ringing at the collection centres across the globe.

It is time we look up for inspiration from Bollywood. The Southern industry which has set its sight on Sallu bhai's roaring BO hit Ek Tha Tiger is Kollywood. Not that there is none to take it up in Tollywood, but it seems it is not going to happen anytime soon because the biggest stars (read Pawan, Mahesh, NTR) are quite busy for a long time

Credit goes to Ilayathalapathy Vijay for allegedly being ready to reprise Salman in the Tamil remake of ETT. Buzz is that Editor Mohan has bought the Tamil remake rights of the film and it will be helmed by Jayam Raja who worked withVijay in Velayudham. It's said that the director and Vijay will come together for this remake post Vijay's film with AL Vijay .
Ek Tha Tiger that featured Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif has already grossed more than 100 crores in the box office and is an action entertainer loaded with romance and some good music. The film sees the hero as a RAW spy

The Mammootty film, Malabar, was announced with Ranjith as the scenarist and G S Vijayan as the director.
Kavya Madhavan will play the heroine and Anoop Menon was to play an important role in the project.
But the grapevine has it that the film will now be directed by Ranjith himself. The shooting will start in early October and Anoop Menon has been replaced by Narain.
There have been a few recent films, which had story credits for Ranjith. But the big question now is on who could be directing Malabar.
In fact, there are rumours doing the rounds that the film’s title will also be changed.
The Mammootty film, Malabar, was announced with Ranjith as the scenarist and G S Vijayan as the director.

But it is perfectly justifiable as the releases took place towards the fag end of the Holy Ramzan period. The collections are expected to pick up significantly this week,as the holy season has come to an end, and the schools are about to close for Onam vacation.Both the films have just one open week in front to make use of, as Joshiy directed Mohanlal starrer RUN BABY RUN is due for a hugerelease in the forthcoming week.
